Information needed
To begin a Customer Persona for Walmart, I first needed to figure out what information was needed. The purpose of creating this Customer Persona was to build a better understanding of the customer and marketing strategies are best fit to their needs. I asked ChatGPT what information it would need to create a Customer Persona using the following prompt:
“I want to create a customer persona. What information do you need to create it?”
Generating Customer Persona
After filling in all the missing information, there was enough to make a sample persona for Walmart. The goal of this step was to create a clear target customer that could guide the rest of the marketing process. I used the following prompt: “Now, you seem to have all the information to create a customer persona. Using the information in our conversation, create a customer persona for Walmart.”
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Keyword Search
Next, I used the customer persona to identify keywords that potential Walmart shoppers would use searching online. I used the following prompt: “Using the Walmart customer persona we created, what are the top 5 keywords this customer would use when searching online for information related to Walmart?”
Content Creation
Blog Post Ideas
Next, I used the customer persona and SEO keywords to create a blog post ideas that would possibly interest Walmart customers. I used the following prompt: “Using the Walmart customer persona and the five SEO keywords we identified, give me three blog post ideas that would interest this customer.”
Writing a Blog
After reviewing the three blog posts I chose “Cheap Walmart Meal Ideas: 5 Easy Dinners on a Budget”. I chose this one because it is a common thing that people are looking for when cooking dinner for themselves and their families. I used the following prompt: You are writing a blog post for “Using the Walmart customer persona and SEO keywords we created, write a 500-word blog post titled ‘Cheap Walmart Meal Ideas: 5 Easy Dinners on a Budget’. Make the post useful and engaging for the target customer.”
Social Media Post
Next, I used ChatGPT to create a LinkedIn post that could promote the blog post to a target customer. I used the following prompt: Create a LinkedIn post regarding “Cheap Walmart Meal Ideas: 5 Easy Dinners on a Budget” for this customer persona. Include a mention of Walmart using LinkedIn’s tag feature and leave space for the blog post link at the end.”
Image Creation
The goal of creating an image was to make it seem more visually appealing to customers while keeping it relevant to Walmart. I used ChatGPT to create a prompt that could be used with an AI generator. I used the following prompt: “I am going to draw a picture regarding the text below using an AI image generator. Write a proper prompt — Walmart strives to develop new ways for customers to save money. It also works to create a sense of connection with customers and communities.”

Last Remarks
This assignment showed me how AI can be used in Digital Marketing. Starting with making a Customer Persona, pointing out different keywords and generating images that fit the customer persona. I also learned that it could help with creating a blog or LinkedIn post.
